The Museum is situated in the Exarcheia area in central Athens between Epirus Street, Bouboulinas Street and Tositsas Street while its entrance is on 28is Oktovriou Street also known as Patission, at number 44. So our meeting point will be exactly at the main entrance of the Archaelogical Museum in Athens.
One of the highlights is the Collection of Prehistoric Antiquities. This collection features a treasure trove of artifacts from remarkable civilizations that flourished in the Aegean between the 6th millennium B.C. and 1050 B.C.
The Sculptures Collection is another awe-inspiring segment, illustrating the evolution of ancient Greek sculpture from the 7th to the 5th centuries B.C.
Equally compelling is the Vase and Minor Objects Collection, which showcases exquisite examples of ancient Greek pottery, ranging from the 11th century B.C. to the Roman period.
In the Bronze Collection, one can encounter many fundamental statues, intricate figurines, and fascinating minor objects that reveal the artistic sophistication of the era.
The museum proudly presents Greece's only Egyptian and Near Eastern Antiquities Collection, featuring an array of works that date from the pre-dynastic period (5000 B.C.) to the Roman conquest, offering a glimpse into the rich tapestry of ancient cultures that influenced the Mediterranean world.
